Thyristor Surge Suppressors (TSS), also known as surge suppression thyristors or solid discharge tubes, are voltage switching overvoltage protection devices based on the principle of thyristors (thyristors).
Features:
1. Extremely fast response speed: usually less than 1ns, it can effectively suppress fast transient interference.
2. Bidirectional symmetry: can simultaneously suppress overvoltage in both positive and negative directions.
3. Low parasitic capacitance: tens to over 100 picofarads (pF), suitable for high-speed signal line protection.
4. Extremely low leakage current: a few microamperes (μ A), with extremely low power consumption.
5. Accurate conduction voltage: stable protection threshold and good consistency.
6. Solid state gas free: no ionization, no light, long lifespan, high reliability.
7. Diverse packaging options: including SMB (DO-214AA), SOD-123FL and other surface mount packaging, suitable for automated production.
Applications:
1. Communication equipment: telephone line, RJ11/RJ45 interface, RS-232, RS-485 bus.
2. Network equipment: modems, xDSL, T1/E1 interfaces, Ethernet ports.
3. Consumer electronics: telephone, fax machine, POS machine.
4. Industrial control: I/O port protection for PLCs, sensors, and instruments.
5. Security system: signal lines for monitoring cameras and alarm devices.
